10 Questions and an introduction to some fabulous blogs!

Do you remember when you were a little kid, playing kiss and catch or tag. I do and I have such funny memories of it.

You were supposed to run away from the person who was "in" and avoid getting tagged or in the case of kiss and catch, avoid being kissed. Secretly though, I was one of those girls who would put on a bit of a show running away, but then I was all "Oopsy Oh look I fell over, you better kiss me then". Mind you only if someone I fancied was 'in', if it was someone I didn't have a crush on, I was all "get out of my way and run for your life".

When I started blogging way back all that long ago (Lol um 4mths that is), I couldn't help but giggle when I came across the tag games that are passed from one blogger to another, as it is just a grown up version of the game from my childhood memories. I wanted to play too and I am not too proud at 38 to chuck an "Oopsy, you got me" if required.

I think Tagging games are fun - I feel chuffed if get picked in the first place and then I love the opportunity to tag others so I can get to know them a little better. So needless to say I did my  clumsy little happy dance when Charlie from one of my most favourite recently discovered blogs - Hotly Spiced tagged me.

I have been reading a lot of new blogs lately. It depends on the mood I am in as to what type of blog they are. Sometimes I just want to be inspired with beautiful homes, delicious recipes and crafting ideas, other days I am looking for a rocket up the bum from Organising sites and then there are the days I just want to lose myself in someone elses story for a while. I do love it though when I discover for myself a gem I haven't come across before and I can't help but want to know more about the writer of that blog. So happy days - today after I answer my ten questions, I get to tag 5 other blogs that I would love you to know about and that I would love to get to know better.

Now the rules to this game is there are 10 set questions I have to answer, so here goes.

Describe yourself in 7 words.
Ummm Sleepy, bashful, sneezy....oh hang on they are those funny little dudes from Snow White right! Well actually they probably sum me up pretty well. OK hang on let me try again.
Dreamy (in the day dream kind of sense, not the I am totally hot stuff type)
Goofy
Spontaneous
Happy
Worrier
Creative
Anal Retentive (I know I know that's 2 words, but I can cheat if I want)

What keeps you up at night?
Sheesh, what doesn't keep me up. I stay up late, reading, writing, wasting time just generally fluffing around and then by the time I get to bed I am too hyped up. Then the worrying sets in. I worry about everything and anything from the day just been, to the kids and my hubby, I worry about work, friends and the future. It is a horrible habit of mine and one I am working tirelessly to control.

Who would you like to be?
Hmmmm what's the name of that wrestler going out with George Clooney??? No just joking. Honestly I am happy being me, despite my neurotic ways - I am blessed with all the things I have in my life including my beautiful family and my friends.

What are you wearing right now?
A cossie and a sarong ( my usual weekend attire) Oh and I have a plumb in my mouth.... seriously!

What scares you?
Wow - do we really want to go there??? What scares me is things I have no control over and things I cannot influence. The future scares me, as although I can try and steer us in the direction I hope for us to go (us being my family and I), I have no control over the tides and fate will takes us wherever the damn well it pleases. That scares me!

What are the best and worst things about blogging?
Easy peasy - the best is all the wonderful people I have connected with and the inspiration I have had from visiting so many beautiful sites. I have had so much fun blogging and finding my own voice.
The worst things - in all honesty would have to be the time I lose when I sit down at my computer for a quick 30 mins and walk away 4 hours later.

What was the last website you visited?
The Government weather site, cause I wanted to know if it is supposed to rain on Australia Day as I have a heap of people coming over.

What is one thing you would like to change about yourself?
Oh crap - can I only choose one?
I would like to stop worrying so much about things I cannot control. I'm trying, really I am.

Slankets - yes or no?
Well Slankets are American or English?? I'm not really sure, but I googled them and I know they are equivalent to the Aussie Snuggie. So hell yeah - come winter, I am all for them. Snuggled up on the couch in my Snuggie with my ipad or a mag, some scented candles burning and a BIG cup of coffee. Bliss!

Tell us something about the person who tagged you?
Well Charlie is an amazing blogger and person and I have really enjoyed getting to know her. I was introduced to her blog through a mutual friend (thanks Cath.S) and I so enjoy reading her posts. Charlie tells stories about her beautiful family and they are entwined within recipes that will leave you in a puddle of drool. She is funny and sensitive and oh so real. Make sure you check her blog out - I am sure you will adore her as much as I do.

So now I get to tag some bloggers and hope that they will answer the same ten questions on their blogs and then tag 5 of their own finds etc etc. As I mentioned I have been really enjoying the blogs of these people I am about to tag and not only do I want to know more about them, I want to make sure you know about their fabulous blogs too. I am always worried about hurting someones feelings by leaving someone off these lists and I would list 100 if I could.

Also I understand how busy everyone is so if you don't have time to play along, I totally understand too.

So with out further adieu.

Carolyn from Desire Empire - Cause she is just gorgeous and I love love love her blog and her creativity. Carolyn is a beaches gal like me and her blog is just a coastal living delight and I so want you to discover for yourselves what a beautiful blog she has.

Kirsty from Coral and Coast - Kirsty is a relatively new blogger like me and her site is another one I have fallen in love with. It again has the coastal theme and she covers everything from life, to tablescaping and home decorating and her hubby is about to teach us how to use our DSLRs. Kirsty is fabulous and you will love her.

Lisa from Lisa Jay Family Lifestyle Photography - Oh man I can sit and pour through Lisa's photos for hours. She is the most talented photographer and her beautiful images will so inspire you and just make you smile.

Ashli from My Mini Manor - I have followed Ashli from when her blog was Maillardville Manor and this gal is sooo organised. He gorgeous blog is about her home in British Columbia and decorating and organisation and cleaning tips and just everything you need to know to create the perfect home. In my opinion she gives old Martha a run for her money and she is just sooo down to earth and damn adorable.

Last but not least - Another newly discovered blog for me, which i found through Desire Empire.
Melinda from Georgica Pond. Melinda's blog is all about her beautiful new home she has just built and it will leave you itching to renovate. She has the most amazing style and I have so enjoyed reading her blog.

So there you have it. Even if these guys don't get a chance to play along, I hope I have introduced you to some amazing blogs.
