Buses, Byron and a Little Boy's Dream

You know how some parents like to live their dreams through their kids? I think I may be one of them.
Actually come to think of it, it's not even my dream I want to live - it's this kid's dream I really lust after.

This is Flynn - My 6 year old uber stylish fashionista who has a flair for making the most mismatched of outfits just work and he has a hellava keen eye for stylish home wares to boot.

He's a bit of a hoot this little guy and tests my non existent pelvic floor muscles most days with his hilarious take on life. I adore him... except for today, because today he was a major pain in the arse. But I didn't come here to write about that so let's keep it moving along.

He has a very dry sense of humour and loves to ham it up a just a wee bit  for the camera ... which is just so not obvious in these photos is it?

This independent little nature loving dude has his future all mapped out. He knows EXACTLY where he wants to live, how he wants to live and how he is going to make a living.

It's not a complicated dream this kid has, and he is pretty sure he has it all figured out.

He is going to live in a Winnebago in Byron Bay. He will have a clothes and homewares shop that sells "like really cooooooool stuff" and he is going to make gardens for people for their birthdays.

Oh and he is going to be an awesome skater dude too.

Yep and why the hell not I say. I kind of fancy the idea of having a regular place to bunk in Byron myself one day... although I've been told that I must sleep in a tent next to the Winnebago.

I kind of like the sounds of his dream for myself actually ... apart from the skater dude bit. I don't think my legs are quite up for that part.

I say stuff making kids live out our long lost dreams - they've got way better ideas, let's gate crash theirs!

What did you want to be when you grew up and did you do it?
