It's Been A Whale Of A Week

Holy shit balls it has been a whale of a week this past week and right at this very moment - I am collapsed on the couch and I ain't moving... at least not for a while anyway.

It's Friday afternoon and the sad state of affairs is that I do not even have enough energy to get up and make myself a much earned end of the week G&T.

I know right?!

Basically pretty much every muscle in my body is going 'Nup, sorry dude we're done for the day... possibly even the year but we'll let you know'... except they can't be done, because after what will hopefully be a good night's rest, I need to somehow try and convince those muscles to fire up all cylinders and start working all over again tomorrow morning.

Meh, don't go wasting any good sympathy by throwing it in my direction.

There's really no need because although I am stuffed, it's a really good kind of stuffed.

You know, like a pat myself on the back 'we made it through the week' kind of stuffed, and as for that G&T? Well... the hubby will be home soon and I am pretty confident that if I ask really nicely he will just manager to knock one up for me before he collapses on the couch too... at least I hope... bless his kind cotton picking heart.

The past 6 days have just flown by in a flurry of activity.

A normal week of work blew out a little to include two almost impossible deadlines, a gorgeous photo shoot for a client, a special birthday that came packaged up with a complete bedroom repaint and makeover for our eldest son (which I'll share with you next week), and the cherry on top was that we also took possession of our new warehouse and somehow managed to squeeze in a fairly solid start to the cleaning and painting part of the refurbishment.

I guess I can forgive my poor old body for having a meltdown right now and refusing to budge from the couch.

In fact, I totally support the motion and if it weren't for the fact that I would feel horrendously embarrassed by my laziness, I would probably be willing to pay someone to come to my house just so they could hand me the TV remote control that is a mere couple of metres too far out of my reach.

I probably shouldn't admit that out loud should I?

Too bad I am too tired to bother retracting that shameful truth.

Perhaps I can distract you from my slothing confessions by sharing some pics I snapped last week at the gorgeous Coogee Pavilion.

I love this place. Actually I like anywhere that has a lot of busyness going on and different areas for the eyes to feast on and this place does not disappoint.

If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favour and pop into Coogee Pavilion for a drink or a bite to eat.

If you are lucky enough to live close to this place - well then quite frankly I'll just tell you that my green eyes are so eyeballing you right now.

Anyways, how has your week been?

Have you ever been so knackered you have resorted to ringing your partner from another room to ask them something because you are too stuffed to walk there and ask in person?

Damn it, did I just confess publicly to that too?

Time to get our party on you guys... and thankfully this is a party I do not need to move from the couch to attend.

But first, let me introduce you to our gorgeous guest poster this week - Shari from Good Food Week. Shari is all about living life to the fullest and laughing loud - a girl after my own heart.

Umm Shari - could you pass me the remote control please?
